A Preview of the 3 Mi-Fi
The 3 Mi-Fi isn't the usual kind of thing you'll see here on SoMobile, as it's not a mobile phone. Three's Mi-Fi is in fact a mobile WiFi hotspot, which uses the operator's mobile broadband to create a wireless network - so you can connect devices like laptops or mobile phones to the web.
The 3 Mi-Fi is widely known as being one of the UK's most popular WiFi hotspot devices, both thanks to its attractive pebble-like exterior (available in either black or white) and its speeds of up to 21Mbps. The device, also known as the Huawei E586, is also extremely easy to use, as you simply charge the Mi-Fi via USB, choose a password - and then you can get on with surfing the web.
Another of the Mi-Fi's stand-out features is its small OLED screen, which shows you; signal strength, connection type, connected devices, messages, connection status, battery level and total data usage. Battery life is pretty good too, as the 3 Mi-Fi can manage up to 5 and a half hours of heavy usage, and 100 hours on standby.
A full review will be published here once the phone has been released.
