About Dell
Dell, an American-based multinational information technology corporation, was formed by Michael Dell in 1984. The firm produced its first computer, the "Turbo PC", in 1985, and grossed more than $73 million in its first year of operation.
In 2002, Dell expanded its product line beyond computers, and began selling televisions, MP3 players, printers and mobie phones. However, it was a whole 8 years later when Dell released their most popular mobile: the 5-inch screened Dell Streak. This handset bridged the gap between smartphones and tablets, and remains the company's best-selling mobile phone to date.
Since then, Dell has released a number of mobile devices, running on both Google's Android and Microft's Windows Phone software. These include the QWERTY-touting Dell Venue Pro and the 7-inch Dell Streak 7 tablet.
