A Preview of the Huawei Honor
With its impressive specifications and Galaxy S2-style aesthetics, the Honor sees Huawei taking a shot at the high-end Android market.
Adopters of the Huawei Honor will be greeted with a vibrant 4-inch (480 x 800) touchscreen, which comes paired with a powerful 1.4GHz single-core processor - despite the handset's svelte 10.9mm-thick frame. This speed is further boosted with the including of the latest iteration of Google's OS: Android 2.3.5.
With Gingerbread onboard, the phone will arrive equipped with the usual array of pre-installed goodies, including; Gmail, Google Maps, and access to the Android Market. We're also expecting to see Huawei's custom skin on top, which will dress the phone with multiple customisable homescreens and fancy 3D carousel menus.
On the media front, the Honor touts an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and HDR support, coupled with a 2 megapixel front-facing shooter. You'll also find DLNA technology for mirroring your media, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity for browsing the web, and 4GB of built-in memory.
The Huawei Honor will arrive in the UK in Q1 2012, although the phone's pricing and release date is still to be confirmed.
