A Preview of the Huawei Ideos U8150
With its decent spec sheet and Froyo software, the Huawei Ideos U8150 is a great device for those looking for a cheap entry into the Android smartphone world.
Available in a variety of fashionable flavours (Blue, Red, Yellow), the U8150 is home to a 2.8-inch 240 x 320 capacitive touchscreen, offering one-touch access to Android's main features. These include; pre-loaded social networking apps, Gmail, multiple customisable home screens and access to the Android Market.
Media-wise, you'll find a 3.15 megapixel rear-facing camera, paired with a built-in media player with FM radio and 2GB of included storage - expandable to 32GB via microSD. It may be cheap, but the phone also comes with support for Adobe Flash content, ideal for viewing videos on the web.
Other specs include; a 528MHz Arm 11 processor, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, integrated GPS powered by Google Maps and a 1200mAh battery, promising up to five hours of talk-time on a single charge.
