A Preview of the LG Optimus 2
The LG Optimus 2, set to be unveiled at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show, is the successor to the million-selling Optimus One handset.
Improving on its now-ageing sibling, the Optimus 2 replaces Froyo with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and measures in at a skinnier 11.9mm thick. Within its svelte casing however, you'll find the same 3.2-inch 320 x 480 capacitive screen dressed in LG's Optimus UI.
Although yet to be officially announced, LG has revealed that we can also expect to find an upgraded 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with video, 179MB of included memory expandable to 32GB (with a 2GB card included in the box), a 1500mAh battery, Bluetooth and fast internet connectivity (HSDPA, WiFi).
The handset's pricing and availability is still to be confirmed.
A full review will be published here once the phone has been released.
