A Preview of the LG Optimus Hub
Announced in Italy, the LG Optimus Hub is the sequel to LG's million-selling Optimus One.
Hoping to replicate the same success as its older brother, the Optimus Hub comes running the newest and most secure version of Google's OS: Android 2.3.4. This is paired with a reasonable 800MHz single-core processor, a slight improvement on the Optimus One's 600MHz effort.
The Optimus Hub also comes touting a larger 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, although this bizarrely rocks a lesser 320 x 240 pixel resolution. As you'd expect, this comes skinned with LG's typical Optimus user interface, complete with the usual array of customisable homescreens and LG's Social+ application.
Other confirmed specifications include a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera (compared to the Optimus One's 3.15 megapixel shooter), VGA video capture, DLNA technology, Bluetooth 3.0, and WiFi and HSDPA connectivity. The rest of the handsets specs are still to be revealed.
The LG Optimus Hub will be available in Europe from October 2011, sporting a £170 price-tag.
