The latest collaboration between LG and Prada brings us a high-end smartphone with a 4.3-inch NOVA screen and 1080p HD video
A Preview of the LG Prada 3.0
The LG Prada 3.0 is the third collaboration between the Korean manufacturer and Italian designer, and is undoubtedly the most impressive yet.
Measuring in at a mere 127.5 x 69 x 8.5, the Prada 3.0 is a stylish piece of kit, aided further by its leather-esque Prada 'Saffiano' back panel. Within its skinny casing there's a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 NOVA display, which with a rating of 800 nits, should be visible in even the brightest of sunlight.
This display comes powered by a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, and runs Android 2.3.7 (Gingerbread). LG's also promised than an upgrade to ICS is already penciled in for the high-end smartphone, and is expected to drop in Q1 2012.
Of course, this isn't your usual Android Gingerbread interface, and the phone comes dressed in a stylish Prada-themed skin, which features unique black, grey and white menu and icons a bunch of eye-catching wallpapers, in-keeping with the phone's slick design.
On the media-front, the Prada 3.0 touts an 8 megapixel camera on its rear, complete with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p HD video. This is paired with a 1.3MP shooter on the front of the phone, which means you'll be able to take advantage of Gingerbread's VoIP support.
Adopters of the LG Prada 3.0 can also look forward to; fast HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, a built-in media player with FM radio, 8GB of built-in storage expandable to 32GB via microSD, and a 1540mAh battery.
The handset's pricing and release date is still TBC, but it's expected to arrive in the UK in January 2012.
