As promised by the network, Vodafone‘s Android 2.2 update for the HTC Desire was made available for their lucky customers from the early hours of this morning.
Vodafone have been subject to a lot of hatred over the past couple of weeks, as they recently sent out a software update to all of their HTC Desire users, who expected it to be the Froyo update. It wasn’t, it was just a firmware update which made the screen look a tiny bit different. Hopefully all is forgiven now!
It’s not surprising to see people anticipating the Froyo update quite so much, as the changes it will make to their Desire handset will be pretty amazing. Quicker web browser speeds, faster applications and an improved home-screen are to name but a few.
If the update doesn’t pop up on the screen of your handset straight away, simply go to the menu and select ‘Software Updates. Voila – sit back, and enjoy!
