Last week we reported that Amazon were listing the Samsung Galaxy Tab with the whopping price tag of £799.99. However, they have now updated the listing, and have lowered the tablet’s price by £200, to a much more respectable £599.99.
The £599 price tag is for a SIM free version of the tablet, although carrier subsidized models are expected to be cheaper. After facing a backlash from their extravagantly priced listing which appeared last week, Amazon’s new price-tag seems more realistic in competing against the likes of Apple’s iPad, which Apple list as being available from just £429.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is set to feature a 1GHz processor, 7 inch LCD screen, 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0 and Android 2.2, which certainly doesn’t warrant a price-tag of almost £800.
Amazon have also added a release date to the Galaxy Tab’s page, stating it will be available from November 1st.
With the price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab ever-changing, the upcoming tablet still doesn’t have an official price tag. How much would you be willing to pay? Vote on the poll below and let us know!
