It looks like the rumours were true, as Gizmodo have confirmed that a Samsung manufactured Google Nexus Two is on its way.
The tech site insists that the rumoured handset does indeed exist, after a friend of their managed to get their hands on it. The unnamed source states: “When I first saw it from 10 feet away, I thought it was the Galaxy S. I was a little surprised it was the Nexus Two,” because it’s so different from the Nexus One“.
The handset, will apparently be crafted from glossy black plastic and will boast a slim, curved shape, as shown in Gizmodo’s mock-up (right). We can also expect to see a 4 inch touchscreen display, made from Samsung’s trademark Super AMOLED. Although it may look like the Samsung Galaxy S, the Nexus Two is set to come equipped with a front facing camera, which is likely to allow for voice calling on Google’s upcoming Gingerbread platform.
Although not confirmed, we can expect Samsung to announce the Nexus Two at their Android launch event on November 8th, as the flagship device to support the upcoming Gingerbread platform.
