More photos have emerged of the Sony Ericsson Playstation Phone, revealing a few more details about the upcoming handset.
Engadget have got their hands on the photos, that show off unconfirmed device. At around 17mm thick, the handset features similar dimensions to the PSPgo, so it seems users will have to sacrifice the luxury of a slim smartphone to get their hands on this gaming device.
The images reveal that the handset, currently codenamed “Zeus”, operating on Android 2.2, although the last thing we heard, the handset would be packing Android 3.0. We doubt it will land with Froyo onboard, although this could suggest a more imminent release, with some sources claiming it could appear on shelves in time for Christmas.
These new images also reveal that the handset will come equipped with an 8GB microSD card installed, with atleast 512MB onboard.
We can also expect the unnamed Playstation Phone to come equipped with a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, a 4 inch touchscreen, slide out Playstation keys with a large touch sensitive tracker pad and a 5 megapixel rear facing camera. We can also expect it to come equipped with Z-System, an all new gaming platform in which Sony Ericsson have recently trademarked.
No official pricing or release data has been mentioned, although we expect a 2011 release.
