Google Nexus S available to pre-order

December 7th, 2010

It may have only launched yesterday, but the Google Nexus S is now available to pre-order from the Carphone Warehouse.

The Samsung manufactured handset was announced by Google yesterday, along with its Android 2.3 OS. As the platform’s flagship handset, its specifications don’t disappoint, as it offers a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, a 4 inch curved Super AMOLED display, a 5 megapixel snapper with 720p video capture, a front facing camera, 3G and WiFi connectivity and 16GB of storage. We’re pretty disappointed to see a lack of microSD support, though.

Thanks to it’s Gingerbread platform, the handset also packs in NFC and VoIP support, alongside pre-loaded Google widgets.

The Carphone Warehouse don’t mess around, and have already listed their deals for the Google Nexus S. You can pick the handset up for free on a 2 year £35.00/month contract with Vodafone, which includes 600 minutes, 500 texts and a 500MB data. A £40.00/month contract is also available, boosting your minutes and data allowance.

The Google Nexus S is also available on Pay As You Go with Vodafone for £549.95, with a SIM free handset setting you back the same hefty amount.
