Adding an extra two-inches to the popular Dell Streak, the Streak 7 will arrive packing NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor, providing a mighty 2GHz of horsepower. However, with Android 2.2 onboard and no word on an upgrade to Gingerbread just yet, Dell‘s latest effort could struggle to compete against the likes of the Android 2.3-equipped Motorola Xoom and LG G-Slate.
Still, the slate sports a decent 800×480 resolution WVGA display, protected by Corning’s super-tough Gorilla Glass coating. It also packs a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3 megapixel webcam for video calling, 3G and WiFi connectivity and a 278o mAh battery. It will also be available in both 16 and 32GB models, with support for microSD expansion.
Although not revealed at the Las Vegas tech event, Dell also confirmed that an iPad-style Dell Streak 10 was also in the works.
The Dell Streak 7 will be making its début on T-Mobile USA in the States, with its worldwide release date still to be confirmed.
