It’s been cropping up on the web since August 2010, but it looks like we may only have to wait another 6 weeks until we finally catch a glimpse of the Nokia N9.
Nokia blogger, @JosueGimenez, has tweeted that the Nokia N9 will be seeing an official unveiling at February’s Mobile World Congress, stating: “OK guys, I repeat the the message for you, the Nokia #N9 will be announced in the MWC.”
While its release date has remained a mystery since the leaks began last year, Gimenez also adds “I know that The #N9 will be available in the end of March for sure”, in response to a fellow mobile blogger.
In terms of its specs, the MeeGo-equipped Nokia N9 is expected to arrive sporting a slim, N8-style appearance as pictured (right), and while it was earlier leaked as packing a MacBook style keypad, this is now rumoured as being untrue.
Other expected specs include a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, a dedicated gaming engine, a 4.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 720p HD video capture, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, a 1600mAh battery and a whopping 64GB of internal storage.
According to My Nokia Blog, Nokia will also announce the E6-00 and X7-00 at February’s tech event.
