The image, spotted by Engadget, shows the 9 inch webOS tablet in all its glory. The render (right) displays a full-touchscreen device, with no physical or capacitive keys obstructing its sleek lines. Not much else can be gained from the image, although we have spotted a front-facing camera, a microUSB port and a three speaker arrangement. From previous rumours, we can also expect the Palm Topaz to arrive with a 1.2GHz processor, webOS 2.0 and a rear-facing camera.
Engadget have been told that the Topaz will arrive at Palm HQ in June 2011, and will be available in WiFi, 3G and 4G versions in the States.
HP are also rumoured to be releasing a 7 inch alternative in September, dubbed the Palm Opal. Leaked slides indicate the Opal will primarily be an e-reader device, with “premium audio” onboard. Although further specs are sparse, it’s also rumoured to pack a 1.2GHz processor.
No word on the pricing for the Palm Topaz and Palm Opal, but with February 9th just around the corner, we won’t have too long to wait.
