HTC ChaCha and Salsa hitting the UK on June 17th

HTC Salsa and ChaChaThose of you looking to grab yourselves a “Facebook phone” any time soon may be disappointed, as the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa won’t be launching until June 17th.

This is according to eXpansys, who list the two smartphones with a summer release date, months after HTC‘s original “early Q2 2011” release date.

Although both handset’s feature the Facebook branded keys and deep social integration, they are world’s apart in terms of hardware. The HTC ChaCha is a portrait QWERTY device, packing a full physical keypad alongside a 2.6 inch 480 x 320 touchscreen  display. It also comes complete with Android 2.3 OS, a 600MHz processor, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, a VGA videocall camera, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and 512MB of internal memory, expandable to 32GB via microSD.

The HTC Salsa on the other hand is a fully-touchscreen device, packing a 3.4 inch 480 x 320 display. Like its sibling, the Salsa will feature Android 2.3 OS, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with flash, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and 512MB of internal memory with room to expand.

The pricing for the HTC ChaCha and Salsa is yet to be confirmed, but if you want to take your chances, both handsets are available to order.
