HTC PrimeIt looks like Microsoft is readying to launch its next batch of handsets, as HTC‘s next-gen Windows Phone 7 slider has leaked.

The upcoming slider, codenamed the “Prime”, will join the HTC 7 Pro in company’s range of business-focused WP7 smartphones. Rumoured to launch at next week’s CITA, the HTC Prime is expected to pack a 3.7-inch 480 x 800 touchscreen, alongside a full slide-out QWERTY keypad with all-new oval shaped keys.

Although unconfirmed, spies over at XDA.cn are also listing the Prime as packing a 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash,  and Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. With WP7 onboard, the handset will also arrive equipped with Microsoft Office, Facebook integration and Xbox Live gaming.

There’s no word on the HTC Prime’s pricing or release date, although its expected to launch in just one week’s time.

What’s so next gen about it? The (rumored, admittedly) specs are exactly the same as any other WP7′s headset, if not worse.
