Red Nokia N8 could be in the works

The Nokia N8 is already available in five colours; Black, Blue, Green, Silver and Orange. However, it seems that isn’t enough for Nokia, who are planning to add a sixth member to its already bumper range.

Over at Nokia Conversations, the Espoo-based company is asking users to vote for the colour of a “Special Edition” Nokia N8 handset. At present, Red is leading the poll with 35 percent of the vote, followed by Purple with 15 percent. Brown, Yellow and Pink are also in the running, totalling in at 12, 11, and 8 percent respectively.

Sure, there’s no confirmation that a new N8 is actually in the works, with Nokia stating: “Let’s imagine that there was going to be a sixth, special edition model of the Nokia N8. What colour would it be?”. However, if the mock-up (right) from Unwired View is anything to go by, we’re certainly hoping the Red Nokia N8 becomes a reality.

Still, maybe the Finns are simply looking for ideas for the Nokia E6, or the lesser-specced N8 copy, the Nokia T7-00? Either way, I’m sure it won’t be too long before we find out, with the company holding a London-based press event on Tuesday April 12th.
