Virgin has outed its latest budget handset – the Virgin VM665 – which’ll cost you just a mere £30.00 on pay as you go.
Virgin Mobile (or Virgin Media, whatever them call themselves nowadays) outed the handset on its official website. As you may have guessed, it’s not the most spec-heavy handset on the market, but it offers a fuss-free approach for mobile newbies and technophones.
The Alcatel-made blower sports a clamshell form factor – albeit in Pink, which houses its teeny colour screen and traditional alphanumeric keypad. There’s also a secondary screen on the front of the handset, displaying your notifications and battery life, alongside what looks like an equalizer when your playing your tunes.
Other features include a 2 megapixel camera (without flash), a built-in music player, a 3.5mm audio jack and 8GB of expandable memory. It also comes with handy social networking shortcuts and email support, although you’ll have to make-do with GPRS speeds.
The Virgin Mobile VM665 costs just £29.99 on pay as you go, which includes a free £10 top up. Topping up £10 a month on Virgin Media’s Addict tariff sees you getting 300 free texts, while topping £15 will bag you unlimited texts and 1GB of mobile web use.
