Update: Three has now backtracked, saying the BlackBerry Bold 9900 will now be landing in September. Looks like there is delays, after all. Boo.
That’s according to the network’s Coming Soon page, which states that the next-gen BlackBerry will be available from August. Details on the handset’s pricing are still to be revealed, although it’s expected land on Three’s One Plan with tasty all-you-can-eat data.
The so-called Bold Touch is the first of the RIM‘s handsets to sport a capacitive screen coupled alongside a portrait QWERTY keypad. Measuring in at 2.8-inches, the touchscreen display is also the first to showcase RIM’s all-new BlackBerry OS 7, promising a re-jigged UI, a boosted web browser, and BlackBerry Balance. There’s also a 1.2GHz processor, integrated NFC technology, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with 720p HD video capture, HSDPA and WiFi speeds, and 8GB of built-in storage with microSD expansion.
