Motorola WilderIt looks like the Motorola Wilder isn’t a Carphone Warehouse exclusive after all, as it’s now in stock at

The UK retailer is claiming to have stock of the mid-range smartphone, and has priced it as a reasonable £98.49 SIM free. Still, that’s not as cheap as we were expecting, with the CPW promising a £49.95 pay as you go price-tag.

Still, if you still don’t fancy forking out for the handset, e2Save is offering it on subsidized tariffs with Orange and T-Mobile, from a teeny £10.66 per month. This’ll bag you a free Wilder, 600 minutes and unlimited texts.

Announced in a low-key manner earlier this month, the Motorola Wilder is the bargain-priced sibling to the life-proof Defy. It boasts the same rugged qualities as its higher-spec brother, promising to protect from water, dust and scratches thanks to its bump-proof rubberised chassis. Within its casing you’ll find a 2.8-inch resistive touchscreen, offering one-touch access to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

You’ll also find a a 2 megapixel fixed-focus snapper, an FM radio, and several embedded games including Need For Speed and Tetris. It also offers a built-in music player, with up to 32GB of expandable storage.
