The UK phone-seller is offering the handset for free from £40.85 per month, equipping the Android flagship with a mammoth 1200 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of mobile data. If you’re an existing Virgin Media customer you can bag the S2 for free on a cheaper £35.74 tariff, although this comes with a lesser 1000 minutes.
Still, this isn’t quite a cheap as T-Mobile’s new tariff, which bags you a free Samsung Galaxy S2 with unlimited internet for £35 per month – although you’ll need to sign up before the end of September.
On track to outsell its Galaxy S sibling, the Samsung Galaxy S II arrives boasting a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, coupled with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. This powers its 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display which comes dressed in Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, equipping it with customizable homescreens, Facebook and Twitter integration and access to thousands more apps from the Android Market.
Adopters of the Galaxy S2 can also look forward to an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture, a front-facing 2 megapixel webcam, HSDPA and WiFi speeds and either 16GB or 32GB of built-in storage.
