HP Pre 3 gets priced on Orange and T-Mobile

July 26th, 2011

HP Pre 3Mobiles.co.uk, a subsidiary of the Carphone Warehouse, has opened up its pre-orders for the HP Pre 3.

The UK retailer is offering the smartphone on Orange and T-Mobile, and in keeping with the website’s usual bargain-priced offers, it’s available to order from just £15.32 per month. This 2 year-long T-Mobile tariff will bag you a reasonable 300 minutes, 300 texts and 500MB of mobile data, as well as a free Pre 3 handset.

Mobiles.co.uk is still unsure of the handset’s exact release date, although if Play.com’s listing is anything to go by, shipping will begin on August 31st.

Announced back in February, the HP’s Pre 3 higher-end sibling to the pint-sized HP Veer, as well as the first Pre to arrive without the Palm branding. Alongside the usual slide out QWERTY keypad, it arrives touting a 3.6-inch (480 x 800) touchscreen, dressed in the latest version of HP’s webOS software. This equips the smartphone with advanced multitasking functionality, ‘business class’ email support, and support for TouchStone wireless charging.

The HP Pre 3 also comes rocking a 1.4GHz processor under the hood (which is rumoured to have been upgraded to a 1.2GHz dual-core effort), a 5 megapixel camera with HD video, a front-facing webcam, HSDPA and WiFi speeds, and Touchstone compatibility for wireless charging. Once released, it’ll be available in both 16GB and 32GB flavours.
