Just as it did with last year’s flagship, Samsung will be releasing the Galaxy S2 in a pearly-white flavour.
Unlike the original Samsung Galaxy S, the Galaxy S2 variant (right) will come complete with a white-coloured front, which’ll no doubt be coupled with an equally frosty back-panel. That’s not even the best bit, as UK retailer Handtec has already opened up its pre-orders for the snowy-white handset, which costs £503.99 SIM free. The phone-shop is promising to start shipping in ‘early August’, which means it could be available from as early as next week.
Besides it ivory casing, the white Samsung Galaxy S2 comes rocking the same specifications as its darker-hued sibling. That means you’ll still get the same stunning 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, powered by those speedy 1.2GHz dual-core innards.
The handset also arrives touting Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture, a front-facing 2 megapixel webcam, HSDPA and WiFi speeds and either 16GB or 32GB of built-in storage.
Head over to Handtec to pre-order your Samsung Galaxy S2 in white!
Update: We’ve just received an email from Clove.co.uk, which has confirmed that it’ll start shipping the white Galaxy S2 from August 15. It’s also offering the handset for pre-order, for a lesser £492 SIM free.
