White Samsung Galaxy S2 heading to Vodafone

August 1st, 2011

Samsung Galaxy S2Vodafone has revealed that it’ll be stocking the white Samsung Galaxy S2, ahead of the handset’s early-September release.

Speaking to SoMobile, a Voda representative said that: “Yes, we will be getting the white Galaxy S2.” We’re still awaiting details on the handset’s pricing, although it’s likely to fetch the same as its darker-hued sibling. If so, you’ll be able to grab a free Samsung Galaxy S2 in white on a £36.00 tariff, including 1200 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of mobile data.

On Friday, Three let slip that it will also be stocking the handset, saying: “Samsung’s Galaxy S II has been hot property this year, so there’s no doubt that this new variant will be very popular, especially amongst our customers who look for a little glamour alongside functionality”.

The network also announced that it’d be available on contract from £30 per month, as well as on a pay-as-you-go for £499.99.

As you’d expect, the white Galaxy S2 rocks identical specs to Sammy’s black-coloured flagship. This means it’ll come with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, a front-facing videocall camera, and all the usual connectivity options (Bluetooth, HSDPA, WiFi).

Update: We’ve heard back from a Vodafone representative, who has confirmed that the white Samsung Galaxy S2 ‘will be available for the same price as the black version.’
