The HTC EVO 3D will be available in the Blighty from tomorrow, a SIM free retailer has confirmed.
Speaking on Twitter, MobileFun said: “We’ll have the SIM Free HTC EVO 3D in stock tomorrow”, with its website affirming the phone’s August 17 release date. This comes despite expectations expectations for a ‘delayed’ September release, and available to order from the UK phone-seller for £499.99 SIM free.
Update: Clove has announced that it now has stock of the EVO 3D, although it’s available to order for a more-expensive £534.00 SIM free.
The newly redesigned Play.com has also brought forward its release date to August 19, with Amazon promising to ship on August 22. With the EVO 3D dropping sooner than expected, could it be coming to Vodafone after all? We’ve been in touch with the network for further information.
The EVO 3D is HTC‘s debut ‘3D smartphone’, like LG’s Optimus 3D, it arrives touting a 4.3.-inch ‘naked eye’ screen and dual-stereoscopic 5 megapixel cameras capable of shooting 3D photos and footage. It’s not all about its 3D smarts, though, as it also features a speedy 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS – the same high-end specs as the HTC Sensation.
Other specifications include HTC Sense 3.0, 1080p HD video, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, HDMI output, a 1730mAh battery, and up to 32GB of expandable memory.
