BlackBerry Torch 9810 hits pre-order from £31 per month

BlackBerry Torch 9810If you don’t fancy coughing up £460 for the BlackBerry Torch 9810, the handset’s now available to pre-order from £31 per month.

That’s thanks to MobilePhonesDirect, which has kicked off its pre-orders for the second-gen Torch. Available to order on either T-Mobile or Vodafone, prices start from £31 per month on a 2 year contract. As well as a free BlackBerry Torch 9810, that’ll bag you a reasonable 500 minutes, unlimited texts, and 500MB of mobile data.

Although the handset’s official release date is still to be confirmed, the retailer’s promising to ship the handset towards the end of September – despite’s later October 4 shipping date.

On the spec-front,  the BlackBerry Torch 9810 touts 3.2-inch (640 x 480) touchscreen, paired with a  slide out QWERTY keypad and a 1.2GHz processor. Adopters of the smartphone can also look forward to getting to grips with the latest version of RIM’s OS – BlackBerry OS 7. This equips the phone with a brand-new web browser, HTML5 support and BlackBerry Balance

Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with HD video, integrated GPS, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and up to 32GB of expandable memory.
