The Symbian Belle-equipped Nokia 700 will be available in the UK through Virgin Media, the Finnish phone-maker has confirmed.
Speaking on its official Nokia UK Facebook account, the manufacturer said: “Buy a Nokia 700 from Virgin Media in October and we will donate £1 in your name to Jeans for Genes”.
Besides confirming the handset’s imminent release date and the fact that it’s heading to Virgin Media, there’s currently no word on the handset’s pay monthly pricing. We’ve been in touch with the UK network for further information.
The Nokia 700 is, according to Nokia, the “most compact touch monoblock smartphone in the world”. That’s not all the phone’s got going for it, as it also arrive running Symbian Belle OS. This newly-refreshed platform equips the 700 with a host of new features, including; a re-jigged user interface with a drop-down notifications bar, an active lockscreen, NFC support, and Microsoft Apps.
Besides its pint-sized dimensions and upgraded OS, the Nokia 700 arrives touting a 3.2-inch (640 x 360) AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen, a 1GHz single-core processor, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, up to 32GB of expandable storage, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and built-in NFC technology.
Simply can’t wait until next month? The handset’s available to pre-order from MobileFun, for £279.95 SIM free.
