Samsung Galaxy Note landing ‘late November’

September 21st, 2011

Samsung Galaxy NoteIt looks like Samsung’s Galaxy Note could be hitting the UK sooner than expected, as Clove has pegged the smartphone with a ‘late November’ release date.

Earlier this month, we heard that the mammoth-screened handset would be hitting the UK in ‘Q1 2012′, despite there being no official word from Samsung on the matter. However, UK retailer Clove claims to have had confirmation from the Korean manufacturer, saying: “We can now confirm that the first stock of the 5.3″ beast is due to be here late November.”

The retailer’s also opened up its pre-orders for the 5.3-inch ‘tabphone’, pricing it at an equally mammoth £600 SIM free. Still, Clove has admitted that the handset’s price is still TBC, so here’s hoping we’ll see an imminent price drop.

On the spec-front, the Samsung Galaxy Note sports a huge 5.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, complete with an eye-popping 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The screen also comes with support for Sammy’s Flyer-esque ‘S Pen’, which’ll let you noodle and note-make on the high-res display.

There’s also a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OD, an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video, a 2 megapixel front-facing shooter, a 2,5000mAh battery, and either 16GB or 32GB storage.
