It’s not just the Xperia Neo getting Android 2.3.4 early, as the Sony Ericsson has also rolled-out the update to the the Xperia Arc and Xperia Play.
That’s according to the Unofficial Sony Ericsson blog, which claims that despite Sony Ericsson‘s scheduled October release date, the software is now available for duo of Xperias.
It may not sound like a major jump, but Android 2.3.4 will equip the two handsets with a host of new features. First up, there’s improvements to Sony Ericsson’s Facebook Inside Xperia service, enabling users to like, share and discover on Facebook in a ‘faster, easier and more intuitive way’.
The bump will also equip the handset’s with Google Talk support, which unlike Apple’s similar FaceTime service, enables video-calls over both 3G and WiFi. Additionally, Android 2.3.4 delivers; advanced USB connectivity, Swipe text input, screen capture support, and 3D sweep panorama technology – enabling panoramic shots to can be captured and then viewed in 3D by connecting the phone to a 3D TV.
