Dual-core LG Optimus EX leaks

September 22nd, 2011

LGOptimusEXAn image has emerged of the LG Optimus EX, which is believed to be company’s next-gen flagship.

Although the snapshot (right) doesn’t look too exciting, the so-called Optimus EX boasts some impressive specifications. Chief amongst these is a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, housed within the phones skinny 9.5mm thick casing. This will supposedly be paired with 1GB RAM and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, which’ll no doubt be skinned with LG’s Optimus UI.

According to Pocketnow, who published the snapshot, the phone also touts a 4-inch (480 x 800) touchscreen, a 5 megapixel primary camera, a front-facing videocall shooter, and “all of the usual suspects” (Bluetooth, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity). Once released, the ‘EX’ will be available in both Black and White flavours.

Unfortantely, it looks like the LG Optimus EX is destined for Korean operator SK Telecom, with no word yet of a worldwide release. We’ll bring you more details as soon as we get them.
