Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S confirmed for Three

September 22nd, 2011

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc SThree has announced that it’ll soon be stocking the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, just days after it bagged the firm’s Live with Walkman smartphone.

Set to land exclusively on Three in a “gloss black” flavour, the Xperia Arc S is slightly-upgraded version of the original Xperia Arc. You’ll find a speedier a 1.4GHz processor, promising a 25 percent speed boost to the camera and a speedier browser, as well as Sony’s 3D Panorama technology and Music Unlimited services.

Like the original, however, the phone also comes equipped with a 4.2-inch Reality Display, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), an 8.1 megapixel rear-facing camera with HD video, and HDMI and DLNA technology.

Sylvia Chind, head of handsets at Three commented “Sony Ericsson have a great track record in delivering phones with great features and hardware. These two new smartphones are no exception, with advanced audio features on the Live with Walkman and superior photography features on the Xperia Arc S.

“Paired with Three’s award-winning network, people can enjoy all the online capabilities of these phones with fast internet speeds.”

There’s not yet any word on the handset’s pricing or release date, but we’ve been in touch with Three for further information. Can’t wait? The Xperia Arc S is already available to pre-order from Clove.
