The images (right) treat us to our first glimpse at the handset’s front, which shows off the shape of the so-called Galaxy Nexus and its vanilla Android Ice Cream Sandwich interface. There’s also an official-looking shot of the rear of the smartphone, which hints that the phone will come dressed in a plasticky-looking casing, and that it’ll sport a rear-facing camera with LED flash.
As you can see, there’s also a photo of the side of the Nexus, which looks suspiciously like the image teased by Samsung.
In terms of specs, nothing new has been revealed about the Android flagship. However, we’re anticipating a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, powered by a powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Further speculation has led us to believe that the phone will also come equipped with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera capable of shooting 1080p HD video, a front-facing video-call camera, integrated NFC smarts, and all of the usual high-speed connectivity.
The Galaxy Nexus – previously leaked as the Google Nexus Prime – will reportedly be launched on October 19. We’ll bring you more details as soon as we get them.
