Speaking on its blog, the SIM free retailer promptly revealed: “Following Motorola’s announcement of the Droid RAZR, we can confirm that we are expecting the UK variant, the Motorola RAZR, to arrive into stock on November 1st, priced at £379 (454.80 inc. VAT).”
That’s not a bad price considering the phone’s specs, which includes a svelte 7.1mm thick splash-proof casing, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and a massive 4.3-inch qHD (540 x 960) Super AMOLED touchscreen. Bizarrely, however, the phone will arrive running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, despite launching just hours before Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Still, the phone boasts plenty of impressive features to make up for its now-outdated OS. These include; an 8 megapixel primary camera with 1080p HD video, a front-facing webcam, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and 16GB of built-in memory. It also comes with support for Motorola’s brand-new Lapdock 100 and 500 Pro accessories, and touts and a brand-new feature called MotoCAST, which lets you stream or download your music, pictures and more from your PC to your phone
You can’t yet pre-order the super-skinny handset, but we’ve been in touch with Clove for further information.
