BlackBerry Curve 9360 lands on Virgin

October 25th, 2011

BlackBerry Curve 9360The BlackBerry Curve 9360 is now available on Virgin, for those who fancy paying over the odds for RIM‘s latest “cheap” handset.

While Orange and T-Mobile are offering the device for free from £20.50 per month, you’ll have to sign-up to a £25.99 tariff to get a free Curve on Virgin Mobile. This two-year-long tariff equips this phone with a lesser 125 minutes, 2500 texts and 500MB of data, too. Virgin’s pay as you go pricing is also pretty expensive, as compared to O2′s £249 price-tag, the phone will cost you £359.99 upfront.

We’re struggling to come to terms with that price considering the phone’s mid-range specs, which include an 800MHz processor, BlackBerry OS 7, and a 2.44-inch (non-touch) display. This comes paired with an decent portrait QWERTY keypad, however, making this an excellent phone for text-happy teens.

Adopters of the smartphone will also find a 5 megapixel primary camera with VGA video, up to 32GB of expandable memory, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and integrated NFC smarts.
