Although Samsung failed to confirm an official release date for the Mango-powered smartphone, UK retailer claims is now has stock of the Omnia 7 follow-up. You can order yours now for £339.99 SIM free, which also bags you free delivery.

If you don’t fancy coughing-up £340 to get your hands on the smartphone, it’s also available to pre-order on pay monthly tariffs. Over at you can grab a free Samsung Omnia W for just £15.68 on an O2 contract, complete with 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of mobile data. The retailer’s yet to confirm its release date for the handset, but we’ll bring you more deets as soon as we get them.

Samsung’s Omnia W joins the Nokia Lumia 800 and HTC Titan as the first Mango-powered handsets to reach the UK. On the spec-front – as well as Windows Phone 7.5 – you’ll find a 3.7-inch (480 x 800) Super AMOLED screen, powered by a 1.4GHz single-core processor. There’s also a decent 5 megapixel HD camera with 720p HD video, a VGA front-facing camera, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and a 1500mAh battery.
