Three has announced that it’ll be selling the HTC Sensation XE from December, joining the plumped-up Sensation XL.

In an official blog post, Sylvia Chind, head of handsets at Three said: “I can officially confirm that we’ll be ranging the HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio.”

“Initially the Sensation XE with Beats Audio didn’t feature in our smartphone portfolio for this year. We believed that the Sensation XE and Sensation XL was an either/or decision, but based on your overwhelming feedback we’ve changed our minds. We’ve decided to sell the XE and the XL.”

The HTC Sensation XE packs a faster processor than its larger-screened brother, boasting a 1.5GHz dual-core effort. That’s despite its smaller 4.3-inch qHD display, although this also arrives dressed in Google’s Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) software and HTC Sense three-point-zero. Of course, the phone also arrives equipped with integrated Beats Audio technology – which comprises of custom audio processing hardware and a pair of included Beats by Dre headphones.

There’s also an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video, a VGA front-facing webcam, GPS, Bluetooth, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and 4GB of built-in memory expandable to 32GB via microSD.

Three’s yet to confirm its pricing for the Sensation XE, but we’ll bring you more details as soon as we get them.
