The Bold 9790 was launched alongside the fully-touchscreen Curve 9380, and offers a cheap alternative to the Bold 9900. On the spec front, RIM’s latest Bold touts the firm’s traditional portait QWERTY keypad, as well as an upgrade 2.45-inch (360 x 480) touchscreen. This comes dressed in the latest version of BlackBerry software, equipping the phone with BBM, Social Feeds, a redesigned interface and a brand-new UI.
Adopters of the phone will also find a decent 1GHz single-core processor, a 5 megapixel camera with VGA video, NFC, 8GB of built-in memory and fast HSDPA and WiFi connectivity.
Over at MobileFun, you can pre-order the handset for £399.95. Alternatively, if you can hold-out until the handset’s release, it’ll also be available on O2 and Vodafone. Of course, RIM is yet to confirm the Bold 9790’s UK availability, but we’ll bring you more details as soon as we get them.
