January 3rd, 2012

BlackBerry Bold 9790Three has silently revealed that it’ll soon be selling the BlackBerry Bold 9790, which looks set to hit shelves later this month.

We caught sight of the smartphone on Three’s Coming Soon page, sitting alongside the soon-to-be-released Nokia Lumia 710. There’s not yet any details on the Bold 9790’s pricing or release date, but MobileFun claims that the phone will be available less than a week away on January 9.

The BlackBerry Bold 9790 was announced in November, as the sequel to the popular Bold 9780. On the spec-front, the phone boasts an improved 2.45-inch (360 x 480) touchscreen, alongside RIM’s usual set of tactile QWERTY keys. More interestingly, it also runs the latest version of BlackBerry software, BlackBerry OS 7, equipping the phone with a revamped UI, improved web browsing and an updated version of BlackBerry Messenger.

Three customers eagerly awaiting the phone’s arrival can also look forward to a 5 megapixel camera with VGA video, NFC, 8GB of built-in memory expandable to 32GB and fast HSDPA and WiFi connectivity.
