Phones 4u cancels plans to offer Huawei Vision

January 19th, 2012

Huawei VisionPhones 4u has told SoMobile that it no longer plans to offer the Huawei Vision, despite previously promising a December release date.

When we asked the retailer when the handset would be arriving on shelves, we were met with the response it no longer plans to sell the smartphone. The reason behind this decision is still to be confirmed, but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we do.

That’s not to say you won’t be able to pick up the Vision here in the UK, though. We’ve spotted the phone over at SIM free retailer FlagshipPhones.co.uk for £282.00. You can pre-order the high-end Huawei handset now, but there’s no official word on its release date.

Not sure whether it’s the phone for you? On the spec-front you’ll find a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen dressed in Android 2.3 and Huawei’s custom UI, a 1GHz single-core processor, a 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video, Bluetooth 2.1, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and up to 32GB of expandable memory.

We’ve been in touch with Huawei for comment, so we’l bring you more details as soon as we hear back.
