The ZTE Tania, which received its official outing in London last night, will arrive running the latest version of Windows Phone software, paired with a decent 1GHz single-core processor and a Lumia 900-sized 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen.
Set to launch in both Black and White variants, the oddly-named Tania also boasts a 5 megapixel camera with LED and video smarts, 4GB of built-in storage, Bing-powered GPS, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and the ability to function as a WiFi hotspot – getting one up on the Lumia 800.
Speaking at the London launch event, ZTE revealed that the phone will be available through Virgin Mobile and ‘leading specialist retailers’ for around £10-20 per month on a subsidized tariff. The Chinese manufacturer is yet to confirm an official release date for its debut Windows Phone, although Clove has already announced that the phone will be arriving on shelves on February 13.
