This latest leak comes courtesy of an “anonymous tipster”, who has told the guys at Stuff.tv that the Taiwanese firm plans to launch the so-called Primo at the Barcelona tech-event. The new phone, if rumour is to be believed, will run the latest version of Google’s OS – Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, alongside HTC Sense 4.0.
A 3.7-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen will be at the forefront of the handset’s hardware, alongside a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM, confirming its place within the firm’s “mid-range” line-up. Acting as a more manly version of the HTC Rhyme, you’ll also find a 5 megapixel camera with HD video, fast HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and integrated Beats Audio technology – making this an excellent choice for music lovers on a budget.
The HTC Primo is rumoured to make its first official outing at next month’s MWC, ahead of its release later in the year for £250.
