According to the retailer, its Lumia 900 pre-registration page, which suggested that the phone would be coming to Blighty in June, was uploaded to its website “in error”. However, we’re not convinced that Carphone is being 100 percent truthful, and we think a staffer may have simply put the page up too soon.
We’re hoping this is the case, at least, as the phone boasts some pretty impressive specifications. Announced at CES earlier this month, the phone runs the most up-to-date version of Windows Phone software, dressing its 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED touchscreen. There’s also a 1.4GHz processor, an 8 megapixel HD camera and 16GB of built-in storage.
However, Eldar Murtazin has let slip that the Finns’ may be planning a Lumia 900 update for UK shores, which is tipped to hit shelves in May this year. Dubbed the Nokia Lumia 901, this will come touting a 12 megapixel camera, although further details still remain a mystery.
As always, we’ll bring you more details as soon as we get them.
