Nokia 803 leaks as company’s final Symbian smartphone

February 9th, 2012

Nokia 803It looks like the mooted 801 might not exist after all, as the Belle powered Nokia 803 has leaked as the Finns’ final Symbian release.

Details passed on to BGR by an unnamed tipster has outed the 803 as as Nokia’s last Symbian-powered smartphone, and has revealed some of the features that we can expect. If the leak is legit the phone could be worth getting excited about, as it’ll reportedly feature Nokia Belle on its 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen and “one of the largest camera sensors,  if not the largest camera sensor,” embedded on its rear.

Further details are still unclear, although there’s also talk of a HDMI-out port, microSIM support and NFC technology, which mean you’ll be able to pair the handset with Nokia’s wireless speakers and Bluetooth headset.

The Nokia 803 is likely to get official at MWC in three week’s time, ahead of its rumoured May release.
