Interestingly, the unnamed device will be only the second handset to be packing Intel’s Medfield chip, the first which was showcased by Levono at CES in January this year. Although details of the chipset are remain to be confirmed, it’ll reportedly equip the phone with more power than the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and iPhone 4S, as well as above par graphics performance.
So what else can we expect from Moto’s Android 4.0 Medfield-powered smartphone? As you can see from the leaked image, the phone will sport a light-grey coloured casing, a departure from the firm’s usual black plastic of choice. There’s whispers that this casing will house a HD touchscreen, an impressive ’instant on’ camera with a 15 frames-per-second burst capture mode and what-looks-like a tweaked version of Moto’s usual custom UI.
We’re assuming that we’ll hear more about this mysterious Motorola handset in Barcelona at MWC.
