Google has released a new Search app for Windows Phone 7, in a bid to compete with Microsoft’s Bing.
Now available via the Windows Phone Marketplace, Google have redesigned the Google Search app, it allows users to use the new features such as Google Autocomplete, Voice search and My location, which can help you get useful results fast.
Google Autocomplete works as you type in your search, offering predictions that often match your intended search term making search entry easier and faster. With the voice feature, you can avoid typing all together, simply press the microphone and begin speaking your query, and with your permission Google can use your device location to provide nearby results easily and accurately with the ‘new’ My location. For instance, a search for “coffee shops” quickly displays the nearest places you can go pick up a cappuccino.
You can download the app from the Windows Marketplace and try it for yourself now. It’s available worldwide in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German.
