Sony Xperia P and Xperia U confirmed for O2

March 9th, 2012

Sony Xperia U PINKO2 has added a bunch of new phones to its jam-packed Coming Soon page, revealing that it’ll soon be offering the Sony Xperia P and Xperia U handsets.

There’s no details on pricing just yet, but the network’s promising that both phones will be released in April. This will follow O2′s launch of Sony’s flagship Xperia S handset, which will be arriving on shelves later this month.

On the spec-front, the Xperia P is the more high-end of the two, touting a 4-inch Reality Display with Sony’s WhiteMagic technology and a speedy 1GHz dual-core processor. O2 customers eyeing up the smartphone can also look forward to an 8 megapixel rear-facing snapper with HD video, HDMI tech and 16GB included storage.

The Sony Xperia U is the company’s cheapest handset to date. Expect to find a 3.5-inch touchscreen, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 5 megapixel HD camera and a unique colour-changing transparent bar.

O2′s newly-packed Coming Soon page also reveals that it’ll soon be selling the Samsung Galaxy S Advance, Nokia Asha 302 and the Nokia Asha 201 – which will all be landing in its stores next month.
