The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 will be arriving on O2 in May, the UK network has confirmed.
We may have been expecting a universal April release, but O2′s Coming Soon page tells a different story, listing the Ace 2 with a May release date. O2′s yet to reveal its pricing for the handset, but if anything like the original Ace, it should be available for free from around £16 per month.
The Galaxy Ace 2, announced last month, is the sequel to the original Samsung Galaxy Ace, touting an upgraded 1GHz processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. There’s also a larger 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, skinned in Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
Other specifications include a 5 megapixel HD camera, a VGA webcam, fast HSDPA and WiFi internet connectivity, integrated NFC, 4GB of internal storage and a 1500mAh battery.
We’ve been in touch with O2 for further information, so we’ll bring you more details as soon as we hear back.
