Rovio’s Amazing Alex coming out in July

Rovio have made an absolute killing for themselves with the grotesquely popular Angry Birds franchise. The Finnish developers captured the hearts and minds of casual iPhone gamers back in 2009 when they unleashed the physics-based bird-flinging upon the world.

Now, Rovio are seeking to conquer new frontiers in mobile gaming as they recently announced that they’d be releasing a mysterious new puzzle game for mobile devices called ‘Amazing Alex.’

While they haven’t released any footage for the game, we know that it will be a physics-based puzzler, with the added bonus that you can create your own puzzles and share them with fellow players.

The trailer below gives a basic idea of what to expect. Domino-effects, chain reactions, and crazy contraptions are clearly the aim of the game, and with Rovio at the helm, we’re entitled to have high expectations.

Amazing Alex is due to come out on iPhone, iPad and Android in July 2012.
