It seems that the leaks and rumours surrounding the iPhone 5 are becoming increasingly solid, as demonstrated by these pictures of what appears to be an engineering sample of the upcoming handset
This means that what we’re seeing here is pretty much what an iPhone 5 would look like if you dunked it in that metallic liquid that Han Solo fell into in Star Wars. Therefore, these dimensions are exactly what we can expect of the final product whenever it finally reaches us.
Annoyingly, we only have the height and width, and not the ever-important thickness of the phone. Still, it seems that the iPhone 5 will come in at 122.5mm tall and 58.6mm wide.
Based on this, the rumours that Apple‘s new flagship phone will sport a 4.08″ 16:9 touchscreen have gained some legitimacy, meaning that the media-viewing experience on this phone will easily surpass that of its predecessors.
A leaked video of what seriously looks like the iPhone 5′s rear casing suggests that other likely features on the phone will include a brushed-metal unibody chassis, a smaller charging dock connector, and onboard NFC.
